Some of you know me well enough to know that this was a risky attempt for me to go on a run and not get lost. I never found the park. I'm not sure I even went the right direction as in North or South. However, I remembered the turns I took and felt comfortable about finding my way back. I learned that in Salt Lake City, remembering turns by thoughts like "Turn left at the church on the corner" does not work very well since nearly every corner has a church on it. I ended up doing really well until I got past the McDonalds with half a mile to go. That half mile turned into a mile and a half. I missed the right turn after McDonalds thinking it was further along the road. It all worked out though. I got to Jon's in time. He fed me Frosted Flakes! I also have banana bread from Grandma Rogers, bagels, an apple, and other things.
I met Rebecca at the airport and everything has gone smoothly. We are now sitting at the gate 1 1/2 hours before our flight to Denver takes off. From Denver, we'll go straight to Tokyo, then Tokyo to Nagoya. I'll add more later on.
We made it to Nagoya. Now, we have a bus ride to Ibigawa to meet our families and go to bed. We both slept quite a bit. Rebecca keeps offering me Altoids. I'm not sure if she's just nice or is hinting about my breath.
